It’s Free! The College does not charge a fee for applying for admission.

NOTE: If you have previously applied to the College or if you are a returning student–that is, you have attended the College in the past–and you need to update your application, you will not be able to update your application online at this time. You will need to print, complete and return the regular Application for Admission. Thank you for your patience.

Before You Begin…

Please note that if the above items are not completed by the end of your first semester at Faulkner State, a hold will be placed on your records that will prevent you from registering for subsequent semesters.

If you have any questions or problems completing the online application, please contact the Admissions Office during regular business hours.

Academic Advising

Academic advising is the solid foundation upon which a college education is built. The administration, faculty, and staff at Faulkner State Community College consider academic advising to be central to the FSCC experience. Advisement is an interactive process in which your advisor helps you to set and achieve goals, acquire relevant information and services, and make responsible decisions consistent with your interests, goals, abilities, and degree requirements.

Upon acceptance to the College, you are assigned an advisor based on your selected program of study. In addition to an assigned advisor, you are encouraged to visit the Academic Advisement Center located in the McGown Administration Annex, where advisors are available to assist you in establishing your educational goals and in planning your program of study to meet those goals.

If you choose to submit an application online, Faulkner State’s online academic advising program is designed to provide you with the same quality of service as rendered by advisors on campus. Regardless of the method of delivery, Faulkner State strives to provide services to assist you in the development of meaningful educational plans that are compatible with your life goals. Although the ultimate responsibility for making these decisions rests with you, academic advising helps you to identify and assess the consequences of your decisions and explore viable alternatives. When considering your educational plans, course selections, and life goals, you should be aware of the following factors:

For a full array of services that Faulkner State offers to assist you in planning your educational goals and career objectives, please visit the Success Center. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Courtney Edwards in the Division of Student Development at 580-2185. If you prefer to visit Faulkner State in person, remember that you have a standing invitation to “drop by” our campus locations any time at your convenience. No appointment is necessary.
