PTK Pi Psi Chapter Ready for Spring

Bay Minette, Alabama– Faulkner State Community College’s Pi Psi Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society prepares for an exciting semester filled with student trips and community service.

The PTK officers will travel to Jefferson Davis Community College in early March for their regional conference.  Then they will travel to San Jose, California in early April for the annual international convention.

In terms of community service, the Pi Psi Chapter performs events annually to fulfill their organization’s mission.  Just this past semester, the PTK students made the holidays much more fulfilling for seven families in need in our local area. On December 13, PTK officers and advisors delivered boxes of goods, totaling approximately 1,500 items.  For more than 15 years, the Pi Psi Chapter has hosted a food drive to tend to the local area.

The Pi Psi chapter has many more service-related events this spring.  On February 13, the chapter will host a blood drive on the Bay Minette Campus.  Also in the near future, the chapter will assist with the annual Computer Fair and TSA tournament in March and will collect books to send to Africa.
