New Water and Wastewater Certification Preparation Course

Faulkner State Community College’s Center for Professional Development announces a new training opportunity in Water and Wastewater Treatment for students along Alabama’s Gulf Coast.

Across the area, trained employees are needed as certified operators in the many plants that surround the water systems in south Alabama.  With education in water and wastewater systems and good mechanical skills, students can be prepared for career opportunities.  This program will be a way to connect local water and wastewater employers to a pool of interested students.

Whether students are new to the field or enhancing their skills, they will receive training to prepare for the various career opportunities in water and wastewater management.

The program will prepare students to take the certification test(s) required to work in this field. The cost is $1,100 per student and will provide 204 continuing education/contact hours to those taking the course.  The class is scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and runs from September 6, 2016 through June 13, 2017.

Those interested can contact the Center for Professional Development at 251-990-0445 or via e-mail at
