Lydia Stanley Named 2016 Miss Faulkner State


On April 14, Faulkner State Community College crowned Miss Lydia Stanley of Pensacola, FL as its 2016 Miss Faulkner State.
Lydia is the 18 year old daughter of Ira and Tammy Stanley of Pensacola, FL. Lydia is a Biological Sciences major and a member of the Faulkner State Volleyball Team.

Lydia will serve her sophomore year as Miss Faulkner State.

Fourteen contestants participated in this year’s pageant in the L. D. Owen Performing Arts Center on the Bay Minette Campus.  Featured in the 2015 Miss Faulkner State Pageant were: Lydia Stanley (Miss Faulkner State), Ashton Williams (1st Runner-Up), Haley Grana (2nd Runner-Up), Cecily McCullough (Most Photogenic), Alexis Whigham (Miss Congeniality), Aubrey Harrison (People's Choice), Jaden Metts, Mykala Hill, Jessie Jones, Hope Boykin, Kelsey Clark, Alexia Chambers, Hannah Hinton, and Melanie Henderson.

Contestants must attend dress rehearsals, a community service project, interviews and four weeks of practice.  Applications for the pageant are accepted each spring.  Students participating in the pageant must meet the following criteria: have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, be a full-time freshman who has completed one semester at Faulkner State prior to the pageant, and they must meet any additional criteria listed on the Miss Faulkner State application.
