Jemison and Flowers Named Queen and King


Miss Brooke Jemison and Mr. Rick Flowers have been crowned Faulkner State’s 2013 Homecoming Queen and King.

Jemison is the daughter of Jim and Kathy Jemison.  She is a graduate of Faith Academy and is pursuing a career in education.  Jemison is the president of the Pow Wow Leadership Society, a member of the Inter-Club Council and the Student Affairs Committee, and is a senator for the College’s Student Government Association.

Flowers is the son of Richard and Beverly Flowers.  He is a graduate of Mary G. Montgomery High School and is majoring in music.  Flowers is a member of the Sun Chief Sound, the Pow Wow Leadership Society, and student groups Fusion and Oasis.

2013 Sophomore court in addition to Jemison and Flowers:  Erin Smitherman, Tyneisha Newkirk, Katie Glover, Brianna Robertson, Johanna Johnston, Brittany Hale, Victor Vertison, Deandre McIntire, Jarrod Merritt, Chris Joiner, Namon Scott, and Victor Marshall.

2013 Freshmen court: Kendra Antone, Stephanie McManus, Claire Milligan, Rebecca Andersson, Tamera Boykin, Latonia Jones, Bernard Lambert, Tanner Mason, Cody Gibson, Ladedrian Walker, Terrell Patrick, and Alex Kitso.

Faulkner State’s Student Government Association holds elections annually for officers, senators and Homecoming positions.  Freshmen and sophomores are eligible for election to the Homecoming courts.
