Ashli Weide Named 2015 Miss Faulkner State


On April 2, Faulkner State Community College crowned Miss Ashli Weide of Jackson, AL as its 2015 Miss Faulkner State.

Ashli is the 19 year old daughter of Bill and Erica Weide of Jackson, AL. Ashli is a Pre-Nursing major and a member of  the Pow Wow Leadership Society, SGA and Fusion.

Ashli will serve her sophomore year as Miss Faulkner State.

Fourteen contestants participated in this year’s pageant in the L. D. Owen Performing Arts Center on the Bay Minette Campus.  Featured in the 2015 Miss Faulkner State Pageant were: Ashli Weide (Miss Faulkner State), Danielle Johnson (1st Runner-Up), Morgan Parker (2nd Runner-Up), Katlyn Rice (Most Photogenic), Courtney Coppell (Miss Congeniality), Diara Williams (People's Choice), Danielle Watkins, Kristen Lively, Jamie Grace Taylor, Blakely Barnes, Lydia Williams, Denae Flowers, Paige Yarbrough, and Jessica Turberville.

Contestants must attend dress rehearsals, a community service project, interviews and four weeks of practice.  Applications for the pageant are accepted each spring.  Students participating in the pageant must meet the following criteria:
have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, be a full-time freshman who has completed one semester at Faulkner State prior to the pageant, and they must meet any additional criteria listed on the Miss Faulkner State application.
